Nifty Fifty // Indianapolis SX

After a weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida on the beach and in the sun, it was back to the coats and gloves we donned in Toronto as temperatures were at near freezing levels in Indianapolis, IN. Weather may have been back and forth, but the riders on top remained consistent. Eli Tomac continued on his race toward the championship, chipping away at the points lead held by defending champion, Ryan Dungey. Tomac would go on to win his third race in a row and sixth of the season, sitting in second place in points – now only 12 points behind Dungey. In the 250SX class, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider, Zach Osborne, went on to claim his third victory of the season at Lucas Oil Stadium. This has been quite the breakout season for Osborne, who up until this year, had yet to claim the elusive top step as a Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship competitor – an now he maintains the points lead heading into Round 12.

Here’s a look at this week’s “Nifty Fifty” gallery – 50 of my favorite images captured at Round 11 of Monster Energy Supercross at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN.
